Istanbulites came together in museums with a variety of colorful events and campaigns aimed at reaching the city's rich cultural heritage to a wider audience during Museum Week. The "Voices of the Deep: From Bach to Itri" concert series, which brings together Eastern and Western civilizations at the Şerefiye Cistern, met music enthusiasts; while Garip Ay, blending modern painting with traditional marbling art, presented a unique performance in the mystical atmosphere of the Basilica Cistern. The Mini Explorers event at Miniaturk and a wood painting workshop at the Panorama 1453 History Museum welcomed young visitors. Turkey's first comprehensive Digital Experience Museum brought together Istanbulites with a hip-hop workshop attended by visitors of all ages.
Kültür AŞ, a subsidiary of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB), will bring together various events and campaigns with Istanbulites to celebrate Museum Week from May 18-24 and to make the city's rich cultural heritage accessible to a wider audience. The events will take place at Basilica Cistern, Şerefiye Cistern, Panorama 1453 History Museum, Miniatürk, and the Digital Experience Museum. Additionally, there will be a 5x5 museum campaign and a 25% discount at Istanbul Kitapçısı for Istanbul residents.
Star Wars Surprise at Museums! On May 4th, those who come to Yerebatan Cistern, Şerefiye Cistern, Panorama 1453 History Museum, Miniaturk, and Digital Experience Museum wearing a Star Wars costume, accessory, or t-shirt will receive free museum entry!
Offering an unforgettable experience to yoga enthusiasts in the historical atmosphere of the Şerefiye Cistern, the "Yoga in the Cistern" event is resuming. Organized as part of the Night Shift events, the yoga sessions, supported by the world-renowned sports retail brand INTERSPORT, will be held by YogaKioo on May 15, 22, 29, and June 5.
İstanbul Metropolitan Municipality İBB Kültür AŞ, in celebration of April 23rd National Sovereignty and Children's Day, will host all visitors under the age of 18 for free at Yerebatan Cistern, Şerefiye Cistern, Panorama 1453 History Museum, Digital Experience Museum, Miniaturk, and Istanbul Historical Peninsula Model Exhibition.
